Chris's job hopes

So we had a friend over on Saturday. He is a friend from CA and it was very nice to see him. He was telling us about a GS-13 job that he was told about. He was not sure if he (our friend) would apply but he thought Chris might be interested and gave us the info so Chris could apply. What a nice friend. Well we didn't look at the end date for submitting applications so we started putting Chris's resume together Monday. Well this morning Tuesday we got a call from our friend saying the position closed today! Oh dang it. So Chris hurried and finished his resume and went to submit it.... Then couldn't find the position. Oh no we thought we missed it. Well then our friend left a message saying he found it and to call if we needed help. So I called him and we got Chris's resume submitted. We are saying a little prayer in the hopes that Chris gets this job. It starts out at 68k a year. It feels like one of those opportunities that you can't pass up because if just feel in our lap. Chris was not looking for a job, he loves being home with the kids. But this is such a great opportunity Chris just had to apply. So if you guys that read this could send some good job hunting vibes out to him that would be great. He could make between 68k and 78k a year and that is way more than what he made in the Coast Guard. Ok well I guess we shall see if they take him.
