So Chris really needs to come home now. One more fun filled adventure and I might just have a break down. So Sunday started like all the others. We got vomited on by Jeremy and lots of poopie diapers. So I didn't think 5 days of this was good. So I called the on call doctor who said try watering down the formula or soy formula. Well Jeremy wasn't having any of either and what little bit he took came right back out. So I said forget this and off to the ER we went. Got there just before 3pm. Well they took another 30 min to get him back there to be seen and another 30 before the doctor came over. Finally I thought. Well little did I know the fun was just beginning. He said Jeremy is dehydrated and needs fluids so they were going to start an IV. That took an hour and they stuck each foot once and both arms twice before success. Then they started the fluids. Well they were helping until he threw up and kept pooping. So at 10pm they admitted him to the hospital. Well we were woken up every hour to have the IV checked and restarted. Not fun. Each time Jeremy wanted some kind of food. Of course the only thing he was supposed to have was Pedialyte or the soy formula. He took the Pedialyte okay for a while. Then at 5am I just decided to stay up because it wasn't worth trying to sleep anymore. At about 6am he threw up his Pedialyte from the night before yuck. At 9am this morning the doctor came by and wanted to see how he would do without the IV. He did this all day and was allowed to eat his own regular formula which he liked a lot better. At 7pm tonight they released us from the hospital and we came home. He is still pooping everything out but not throwing up so we are hoping to stay ahead of the game. We will go back in tomorrow for a recheck.
Linda is staying with Melanie. Thank goodness for my friends because Melanie took my mom to the airporter to catch her flight and took Linda home for the night. I took the rest of the week off so Jeremy could recover at home. I don't want to risk getting other kids sick. Well I guess that is it for now. I included a picture from when he was in the ER getting his IV. Poor little thing.
