hands free device

So I realized today that it is so much easier to be inpolite while using a hands free device.  I pulled up to get my coffee while using my bluetooth.  I was chatting with my friend in AL.  I didn't stop the conversation as I normally would.  Luckily my coffee lady knew what I wanted.  But normally I chat with her while she makes my coffee.  As I drove away I realized what I had done and felt very rude for basically ignoring her.  I realized that you could do this anywhere and most people probably do without thinking about it.  We are all so "plugged in" that we don't even notice we don't talk to people face to face anymore.  Something to think about for sure.
