New goals

So Jessi in her ever changing mind and world is now looking at Officer opportunities. I know I have always said that wasn't for me but life has changed and situations have changed. I like the fact that in the Coast Guard I can do new and interesting things. I can have a new job every 3-5 years and that is ok :). So next year I am going to be applying for OCS. I would apply this year however the boards are only 2 months away and I don't feel that I am ready. I guess I could do an application and see how it goes but most likely I will wait for the boards for next year. I am working on losing weight and be in better physical shape to make it through the 17 weeks of training I would have to go through. I have returned to college to finish my BA in information system securities. All of these things are good for me even if I don't get selected as an officer. I will be in better shape and a better example for my kids and I will have a degree to fall back on when I retire from the Coast Guard. I will be sitting for the Chiefs exam this year and get off my rear and study :). Ok well that is it from me, and who knows next week I might change my mind again but at least I enrolled in two more classes today so here goes.
